SUPPORT-Canada: CanPath’s COVID‑19 Surveillance Initiative
Speakers: P Awadalla, J McLaughlin
As Canada’s largest population health study, the Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow’s Health (CanPath) responded quickly to the pandemic by leveraging its existing infrastructure to capture COVID‑19 related data and biospecimens from the Canadian population to identify factors contributing to COVID‑19 susceptibility, severity, and outcomes across Canada. In this talk, Dr. Awadalla and Dr. McLaughlin describe new data based on over 100,000 participant responses to the CanPath COVID‑19 Questionnaire in 2020, as well as preliminary analyses of questionnaire data and immunity test results from blood samples collected in spring 2021. The presentation also describes how researchers can access CanPath’s COVID‑19 related data, along with nationally harmonized baseline and follow-up cohort data, through the CanPath Portal.
