CoVaRR Net – Canada’s latest research network on the pandemic response
Speaker: M Langlois
The Coronavirus Variants Rapid Response Network (CoVaRR-Net) was established to help address growing concerns around the SARS-CoV-2 variants. Funded by the Government of Canada, in collaboration with the Public Health Agency of Canada’s National Microbiology Lab and the Canadian COVID‑19 Genomics Network, in addition to provincial and international institutions, CoVaRR-Net seeks to research the impact of COVID‑19 variants on the immune response to the virus, and the potential for vaccine escape, among other epidemiological concerns. Join us in a discussion with Dr. Marc-André Langlois, the head of the network, as he explains the role of CoVaRR-Net in coordinating research on the COVID‑19 variants in Canada.
